i think that there should be people who hide in the rafters, like in theatre, for whenever you're feeling weak and lost for words you need something witty & clever to say in retort. they could whisper it to you and then you could stand up for yourself.
there is a birdhouse outside in my backyard, hanging from the edge of the garage roof. its sides are made of glass and it is swinging back and forth, reflecting a beam of light into the room. i keep thinking it's somebody secret out there, trying to send me a message in morse code bursts of light.
i probably think about you more than i should.
